The Ruamkatanyu Foundation motorcade transported the bodies of the 23 victims of the school bus fire to perform a spirit-calling ceremony at the scene of the accident on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, inbound, at piers 792-793, with police from Pathum Thani City Police Station facilitating the procession and closing the expressway on the inbound side. The family ceremony invited 4 monks from Wat Phosop Phon Charoen to perform the ceremony to invite the spirits along with all the relatives of the deceased. The ceremony was divided into groups according to the procession that arrived at the scene of the accident to avoid traffic congestion. As soon as the procession arrived at the first group of 4 bodies, the family and relatives lit incense sticks to invite the spirits of the deceased and wrote their names and surnames on paper. The relatives of the deceased were in a state of grief and crying the entire time. They spoke to invite the spirits of their children and grandchildren to follow them back to their hometown s. The ceremony took about 15 minutes. During the ceremony, rescue workers had to provide close care as some relatives appeared to be fainting. After the first group completed the ceremony, the procession moved to send the bodies back to their hometowns. Mr. Chada Thaiset, MP for Uthai Thani from the Bhumjaithai Party, traveled to the scene of the incident to meet and give moral support to the relatives of the deceased who traveled from Uthai Thani Province. Mr. Chatda said that today he brought the family of the deceased to contact to receive the body and bring the spirit of the accident scene to invite. For the incident that happened, he admitted that at first he was angry with the behavior of the driver that the news came out as not being there to help. But from seeing from the clip that he came to help put out the fire at first, both parties must understand. As for whether there was an intention to escape or not, he did not want to criticize. In my opinion, it is not a matter of condemning or making an yone worse, but the family of the deceased and the injured must be taken care of first. As for the case, let the police handle it. Mr. Chatda said that in addition to the assistance, we will have to see how the company and the driver will provide compensation to the families of the deceased and injured. Personally, as an MP and friends, we will collect money to help provide compensation to the families of the deceased and injured, and we will also follow up on whether the compensation for the families will be fair or not. As for the part where many parties have come out to criticize that they do not agree with organizing the field trip, I confirm that people who think like this are narrow-minded because we have to look at it from another angle that if they are disadvantaged, encountering new things will allow them to learn. This issue needs to be reviewed and a middle ground must be found because many agencies must come together to solve this problem. It is not like an incident occurs and then the matter is left to die down. Therefore, this incident needs to be learned from and serious measures put in place to solve it. I want this incident to be a serious lesson that solves the problem, not to let the matter die down. Source: Thai News Agency
